COVID-19 Related Guidance for Return to Campus
Emory University is taking important steps to prepare for the return of our community to campus while prioritizing the health and safety of our university community. For the latest information, please refer to Emory Forward.
Current mask protocols remain in place. Masks are not required when outdoors on campus; unvaccinated persons are advised to wear masks outdoors when attending a gathering or where physical distancing cannot be maintained. Masks are still required, regardless of vaccination status, in all indoor spaces on campus and in Emory facilities and spaces including classrooms, laboratories, shuttles, and other meeting areas except when eating or drinking.
Practice Health/Safety Measures
Continue to wash your hands regularly, stay home if you are sick, and always carry a mask with you.
All campus buildings will receive a deep cleaning prior to the fall opening. Additionally:
- Campus Services will routinely clean all common areas, lounges, classrooms, bathroom, and dining spaces. All high-touch surfaces such as building entryways, elevator lobbies, break rooms, doorknobs, etc. will also be cleaned regularly throughout each day.
- Once you return to campus, you will be responsible for wiping down your own individual work area (office/cubicle) regularly. Departments should plan to order cleaning supplies for this purpose.
- Hand sanitizer and disinfection stations have been installed in all facilities.
