Biography
Jeff is currently a Director within Emory University's Environmental Health and Safety Office. He and his radiation safety staff are responsible for eight Radioactive Materials Licenses which includes Emory's broad scope license, various hospitals within Emory's healthcare consortium, heart centers, and the Emory Proton Therapy Center. Prior to joining Emory University, Jeff was the Global Senior Radiation Safety Officer at Halliburton. Jeff holds a Bachelors Degree in biochemistry from Baylor University.

Biography
Ike Hall has worked as a health physicist since 1991. Most of his experience is with radiation protection programs for medical research universities. He is currently the Associate Director for Radiation Safety at Emory University in Atlanta. He earned his BSHP from Georgia Tech and is a Certified Health Physicist and a Certified Safety Professional. He is a member of the Health Physics Society.

Biography
Annie Backhaus joined the Emory EHSO Radiation group in April 2018 as the Radiation Safety Officer for the Emory Proton Therapy Center (EPTC). The EPTC is one of less than 30 facilities in the US that uses accelerated protons to treat cancers, and Annie manages the radioactive material license and radiation machine registration for EPTC. Annie has a BS in Radiological Health Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a member of the Health Physics Society.

Biography
Lisa has been employed with Emory University in the Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHSO) since 1999. She began her career at Emory as a Secretary supporting the Radiation Safety Staff and the dosimetry program. As her duties and responsibilities have evolved over the years, her current role is as an EHS Analyst Assistant where she utilizes the vast knowledge and skills she has obtained throughout her career at Emory. Lisa plays a vital part in x-ray compliance management, increased controls, dosimetry monitoring, research protocol review; as well as, providing support to the many Radiation Safety Committees. Lisa has earned an Associate's Degree in Business Administration (2014) and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management (2018).

Biography
Rebecca Neill, Lead CT Medical Physicist, joined Emory in 2011. Rebecca received her master's degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2010 and is an American Board of Radiology certified diagnostic medical physicist. Rebecca is a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and the American College of Radiology.
Rebecca and her team ensure compliance with ACR and TJC quality control requirements for Emory Healthcare computed tomography (CT) scanners. She facilitates and oversees the ongoing optimization of over 200 protocols with over 10 distinct make/models. Rebecca tracks and analyzes CT radiation dose metrics to identify dose reduction opportunities and works with CT technologists to reduce radiation dose delivered to patients during diagnostic examinations. She is responsible for monitoring radiation doses for a healthcare system with over 150,000 diagnostic CT examinations per year.

Biography
Shalmali Dharmadhikari, CT Medical Physicist, is responsible for providing medical physics support to all CT scanners in the Emory University system. Her primary duties include CT protocol standardization and optimization, assisting with regulatory compliance (federal and state), CT quality control and accreditation, and providing radiation safety support for high radiation dose event investigations. Shalmali received her Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics from Purdue University in 2015 and finished her residency at Emory in 2017. She is board-certified by the American College of Radiology in Diagnostic Medical Physics.

Biography
Keith St. Cyr is an Associate Radiation Safety Officer/Environmental Health & Safety Professional IV, for Emory's Environmental Health & Safety Office (EHSO) Radiation Safety Department. His responsibilities focus on conducting internal radiation safety audits and customer service to Emory departments using radiation for diagnostic and therapy procedures. Before joining EHSO in 2012, he worked for the State of Georgia's Department of Natural Resources as an Environmental Specialist III for over 18 years where he acquired experience working in the Water Protection Program, the Underground Storage Tank Program, and the Radiation Protection Program. Keith graduated from Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana with a B.S. in Microbiology, 1991.

Biography
Elizabeth Joined Emory EHSO Radiation Safety department in March 2009. Elizabeth reviews and processes Research Radioactive Materials Applications and Permit Renewals. She provides support for Yerkes and Wesley Woods Imaging Facilities, Wesley Woods Cyclotron Facility, and Emory Heart Center Clinics. Elizabeth earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Physics from Purdue University. Prior to joining Emory University, she worked as a Senior Health Physicist for the University of Florida. Elizabeth is a member of the Health Physics Society.

Biography
Browen is an EHS Professional II for Radiation Safety within the Environmental Health and Safety Office. He oversees radiation safety practices at Emory University Hospital, Emory Tower and Emory Midtown Hospital. He was previously employed at the CDC Clifton Campus with the Radiation Safety department. Browen received a degree from The University of Georgia in 2000 in Environmental Health.

Biography
Andy Cohen is responsible for laboratory safety and radiation safety for the Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHSO). He manages the laboratory radiation safety activities and radiation survey instrument calibrations. He joined Emory University in 1997 and has assisted and supported Emory's researchers for over 20 years. Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University in Construction Management and an Associate degree in Health Physics/Industrial Hygiene.
