A near miss can be reported by anyone at Emory. A near miss or close call is an incident that has the potential to cause, but does not actually result in human injury or illness, environmental impact, equipment/property damage, or an interruption to routine operations. By reporting a near miss, hazardous conditions can be corrected before causing an injury, illness, or damage to equipment or property.
