Biography
Scott has over 36-years of experience as a health and safety professional and has served Emory University in the Environmental Health and Safety Office since its inception in 1989. This office provides comprehensive environmental health and safety services to Emory University and Emory Healthcare. Previous to serving Emory, Scott was an Industrial Hygiene Chemist with CIGNA Corporation, and an Environmental Scientist at Georgia Tech Research Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from the University of Georgia and a Master of Public Health from the Emory Rollins School of Public Health.

Biography
Kim manages the Quality and Outreach programs for the Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHSO), as well as serves as the liaison to Healthcare. She has over 20 years of hazardous materials management and safety experience and has been with Emory since 2000. Kim's focus is on process improvement of regulatory compliance initiatives. Prior to Emory she served as Project Manager at a hazardous waste disposal facility and an environmental testing laboratory. Her primary area of expertise is hazardous materials management and environmental compliance. Kim holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Public Health from Emory, and is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager. Kim is also a 2016 graduate of the Emerging Leaders at Emory Program.

Biography
Dr. Moore has a dual appointment as an Associate Staff Veterinary Scientist with the Emory National Primate Research Center and Assistant Director with the Environmental Health and Safety Office. Dr. Moore understands firsthand the importance of aligning research objectives with safe laboratory operations. Dr. Moore’s focus is on quality assurance/quality control, compliance, and research safety with the goal of providing a safe work environment for the research enterprise at Emory University. Dr. Moore completed her undergraduate and veterinary medical training at Tuskegee University. After veterinary school, she completed a Laboratory Animal Medicine residency at the Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine (ULAM), University of Michigan. Prior to joining Emory, Dr. Moore worked 12 years for the Comparative Medicine Branch (CMB) at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health. She started as a Clinical Veterinarian and was responsible for the clinical care of multiple species involved in infectious disease research, including Select Agents, maintained at both Animal Biosafety Levels (ABSL) 2 and 3. Dr. Moore’s other responsibilities included but were not limited to: research support, review of animal protocols, rodent import officer duties, and preparation for and participation in CDC and USDA inspections. Dr. Moore’s latest role was Deputy Animal Program Director for NIAID’s animal program. In this capacity, Dr. Moore facilitated programmatic review and the implementation of mission related goals, dissemination of policies and directives to the Branch, and assisted with mentoring CMB veterinarians with direct responsibilities for ABSL-3 operations.

Lex Parker, BSN

Biography
Lex Parker is the Occupational Health Management Registered Nurse working with EHSO. Lex provides communication and compliance efforts between Emory Health Care and Emory University Occupational Health. They earned a BSN in 2016 from Francis Marion University. They have a background in public health, particularly immunization administration and community outreach. They have practical experience with occupational health that includes health assessments, fit testing, and compliance monitoring.
Lex is currently enrolled in the Executive Master of Public Health program at Rollins.

Tiffany Benton

Biography
Tiffany Benton is the Senior Administrative Assistant with the Environmental Health and Safety Office at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Tiffany joined the Environmental Health and Safety Office in 2015 to provide general administrative support for the staff and department. Since joining EHSO, Tiffany now provides support not only to the staff but the Executive Director of EHSO. Having held past positions as an Administrative Assistant, Fellowship Coordinator and Research Administrative Coordinator; Tiffany is able to tailor her skills to meet the needs of the tasks assigned to her. Serving as a primary contact for meetings, conferences and any projects that require her assistance. Completing courses such as the Administrative Professionals Program and The Conference for Administrative Assistants along with 14yrs of administrative experience have allowed Tiffany to increase efficiency in her role as an Administrative Assistant. Tiffany's focus as an Administrative Assistant is to always provide exceptional care for her team and customers.

Biography
Hope Brewer, Training and Outreach Specialist for Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHSO), is responsible for coordinating Emory Learning Management System's (ELMS) administrative functions, resolving customer issues assisting with e-learning conversions and monitors and maintains monthly measures and metrics. She also manages departmental outreach programs including newsletters and the website. Hope has been with Emory University since 2019. She earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University and an MBA from Brenau University. She is a member of the Association of Talent Development (ATD) organization.
